The last time I went to the circus was in 2005 and I felt sick to my stomach the whole time. The elephant forced onto a little stool, the thin and lethargic tigers. I hated it and swore that I’d never go to a circus again! My sister just wrote a short and sweet post about her encounter with circus tigers and how upsetting that was. At the bottom she shares a website listing animal-free circuses! Didn’t even know those existed but I love that! Check it out!

I’m so glad people are understanding that the circus is NOT a place to take your kids. Animals have died under the WB circus “caretakers” and although they weren’t found guilty of animal abuse in a court, they have countless people and animals that say otherwise.

I couldn’t agree with you more. How SAD about those animal deaths, ugh. I really don’t understand how the animal use in circuses hasn’t been outlawed by now? We have such strict laws on animal cruelty in America- where is the help with the circuses?
