Shameless Promotion (and a chance to win an Amazon gift card!)

Alright folks.

I am not one to normally promote products or items on my blog, but when it comes to my family and their natural talents, I can’t help myself.

My future brother-in-law, Josh, has entered a Bon Iver song remix competition. Never heard of Bon Iver? They are amazing musicians and are hands down the best live performers I have ever seen. I’m talking chills during every song even though we saw them in the middle of summer at an outdoor venue.

Check out one of my favorite songs by them here

Bon Iver has challenged their fans to take one of their songs and remix it. The winner will get $1,000 and his or her track put on a special release CD. Pretty freakin’ sweet!

Josh’s remix has been in the top 20 for the past few days (out of 240 songs!!!) so I would love for you, my lovely followers, to click the link at the bottom of the page and vote for his song.

Why should you take your precious time and do this for a complete stranger, you ask?

1. Have you ever seen a man or mustache more epic than this?

The Josh

2. You don’t even have to create an account on the site to vote if you have Facebook. See how easy? You don’t even have to listen to the song to vote. Just go click! But trust me, you’ll be missing out if you don’t give it a listen.

3. The song that is in the number one spot right now absolutely sucks. Remember when music used to be good and then auto-tune and dubstep became a thing? Yeah, so does Josh.

4. If you go vote, then leave a comment on this post telling me you did. On Sunday, September 2nd, at 8pm I will give a $20 Amazon gift card to one of the commenters who is randomly selected by a computer program. Feel free to forward this along to any friends or family too. Everyone loves Amazon, why not let me buy you that 32-oz jug of wolf urine that you’ve had your eye on for awhile? ….or whatever you choose to buy with the gift card

  1. I don’t know about this… my sisters have brought home more prospective brothers-in-law than stray cats, so the chance of this guy panning out and offering your sister a ring and a date are slimmer than his mustache. How sure are you that he’s not just one of those conmen we’ve been hearing a lot about lately who go around scamming women just to gain access to all that music remixing talent in those womens’ social networks?
