How Often Do You?

Recently, a friend of mine made a post on her blog titled “how often do you?” I got a kick out of reading her answers so thought I would post it on here too, with a couple of extra questions I found on other blogs! It is a good way to get to know the blogger in a different light, a little more insight than the normal posts/rants that are written provide. I’d love to hear some of your answers, readers! Or you can steal the whole post in general and fill in your answers on your blog. 

Watch tv? I have a TV routine. I watch a show every single morning while straigthening my hair/doing makeup. If I don’t finish the entire episode of whatever I am currently watching, then I will finish it when I get home from work. So total TV time every day is normally between 30 minutes and an hour. Currently I’m hooked on Modern Family and Pretty Little Liars.

Read a book? I try to read a little bit every day. I am in the middle of a few books right now, bad habit! Im currently reading:

  • Loving What Is by Byron Katie (love)
  • Finger Lickin’ Good by Janet Evanovich (pretty amusing)
  • People Are Unappealing: Even Me by Sara Barron (not so great)
  • Halfway through the audio book Still Missing by Chevy Stevens (not so great)

Floss? Every day Every other day, but I do a really good job Dr. Wheeler!

See? Look at dem teefers! And I live in North Carolina so just HAVING all of my teeth sets me apart 😉

Once a week, sometimes every 8 or 9 days if I’m really busy.

Go without shaving your legs? NEVER more than 3 days. I can’t sleep at night if I have stubble, it drives me crazy.

Eat your fruits and veggies? Every day! I normally eat two salads a day filled with fresh veggies and eat lots of fruit. No lacking in this area!

Laugh? Constantly. All day long. What is the point of life if you’re not laughing? Isaac and I keep each other laughing from the time we wake up till we go to sleep. Sometimes I even laugh IN my sleep.

Bite your tongue? Metaphorically- every hour. I am constantly biting my tongue when it comes to my students. Literally- not too often. Only when I’m starving and inhale the food I’m eating. 

Invite someone over? Yikes, barely ever. I don’t think I’m home enough to have people over. I need to do this more on Saturday and Sunday though.

Eat out?
Chipotle or Qdoba two times a week, every week

Go outside? Every day on the way from my car to the office and the office to my car. BOO! I miss having a job where I could wear a swimsuit to work and stay in the sun all day.

Buy clothes? Once every other month, and normally only purchase one or two things. I hate shopping! I normally do two big shopping trips a year where I will blow about $300 each time. Now Online shopping is another story- I order from Amazon way too frequently! 

Drink alcohol? Never! I stopped drinking a few years ago because I didn’t like how it made me feel. Alcohol makes me nauseous (even in small amounts) and I hate feeling loopy and not in control. I have had tiny sips here and there, but the last real alcohol drink I had was probably 2 years ago. I’m totally fine with being the DD whenever I’m out and still have a good time. Although when people start getting sloppy, it’s time to go.

Drink Coffee? Never. I quit coffee a few years ago and am still amazed at how much healthier it has made me feel. I SO miss the flavor and comfort of a warm cup of joe though. I also really miss iced coffee on hot summer days! [Yikes no alcohol, no caffeine- I’m so boring!]

Talk to your mom? We normally text, Vox, or have a quick chat every day.

Eat chocolate: I try to every single day. If I miss a day, I double the next day’s dosage. 

Search for a job/different job? I haven’t job searched in awhile, thankfully. I have been pretty content with where I am. The thing that will lead to my inevitable job search in the future will be the need for more money. Or if I snap at a student and get canned 😀 
Show physical affection to people? Every day. Not so much at work, more so at home. I am a definite “physical affection” person.
Cry? I’d say six times a month, five of which are for happy reasons. Sappy TV shows, Isaac, and other random things bring me happy tears all the time!

  1. I should start eating chocolate every day and Chipotle twice a week. I like your style. 🙂 I’m curious what difference you noticed in your health when you stopped drinking coffee. I have 1 or 2 cups of black coffee a day and I can go without it (for me it’s more the comforting ritual than the caffeine).

    • About a month after quitting coffee, all of my stomach issues (bloating, pain, ehhh ehmmm and other unpleasant issues) completely went away! Now if I drink a cup of coffee I feel backed up for days, it’s so bizarre. I think it has also made my mood better since I quit the coffee!
